OJA ABAMI (A mysterious market)
By Ola Vincent Omotade
Oh joy! of a freer and fuller life,
It sedates sober pace.
Light hearted indifference
Opened windows of the sky,
Where all our needs is met, the Yoruba markets
Multiple voices of towered cities,
Loud shout to lower ones.
Enjoying cool and bad odours
From perfumes to locust beans
Seeing different colors and people.
The Yoruba markets
Are filled with mysteries
With head spirits walks around
Some spiritual touches
People fall feeling pushed
But can't see the person pushing them.
